This story ran in PEPline, PepsiCo’s global employee newsletter, and is proudly brought to you by a PepsiCo employee or a friend or family member of a PepsiCo employee.
PepsiCo Russia’s J7 juice brand has confirmed its green credentials by becoming the first in the country to commit to using packaging certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). To begin, seven flavours of J7 juice will be available in FSC approved Tetra Pak cartons with the long-term goal of producing the entire range in packaging bearing the FSC logo.
“As one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of foods and beverages, PepsiCo is committed to reducing its environmental impact,” said Alexander Kostikov, director, Communications - PepsiCo Russia. “The sustainability of our production facilities and our products is paramount, so the opportunity to offer beverages in FSC certified packages to Russian consumers is completely in line with our company’s environmental and social responsibility strategy.”
The FSC is recognised around the world for its expertise in responsible forest usage. The FSC logo means that the carton package is made from wood obtained only from known and monitored sources in compliance with the strictest environmental, social and economic requirements.
