CDL DRIVER/MERCHANDISER

JOB SUMMARY:
Deliver and merchandise all products to ensure customer satisfaction, and compliance with PepsiAmericas merchandising, productivity, safety standards, and all other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Deliver all accounts in the sequence determined by the Dispatcher.
  • Follow all rules, regulations, and best practices for driving, unloading, and delivery of products.
  • Accountable for daily Route Settlement.
  • Merchandise all products to customer satisfaction and PepsiAmericas standards daily.
  • Ensure all applicable Point of Sale (POS) is utilized.
  • Comply with PepsiAmericas quality standards.
  • Communicate all refused orders and missed deliveries to immediately to the Dispatcher.
  • Communicate all Customer requests with the supervisor and/or Dispatcher daily.
  • Report to work in a clean and neat uniform at scheduled starting time.
  • Check driver manifest for any and all special instructions from the Dispatcher or Tel-Sell Agent.
  • Follow all company rules and regulations.
  • Follow all safety practices as described in the company Safety Handbook.
  • Follow all safe-driving practices.
  • Immediately report all accidents and injuries to immediate manager.

JOB ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age if driving a DOT regulated company vehicle across state lines (interstate).
  • Must meet your stateís age requirement if driving a DOT regulated company vehicle exclusively within the state of hire (intrastate).
  • Must have a valid a CDL Class A driver's license or relevant sales/delivery experience with no obstacles to obtaining a Class A CDL license. Those persons hired without a CDL Class A license must obtain these credentials as a condition of employment within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds easily and able to push/pull 40-110 lbs continuously throughout shift.
  • No more than 1 moving violation (i.e. reckless driving, speeding in excess of 15 miles above the posted speed limit within the past year)
  • No serious motor vehicle violations such as DWI, DUI in the past year
  • No more than 3 moving violations or serious motor vehicle violations within the past 3 years
  • Must be able to work shifts as assigned including mandatory overtime
  • Must pass criminal background investigation, pre-employment drug screen, and DOT physical.
